THE RUNNING RACE

Swamiji likes everyone to exercise in the morning before starting the day. He used to encourage everyone to run once around the Ashram in groups after the Ganesha Abishekam. Of course, he set the example Himself on the first day. He called some of us adults and announced there was to be a running race. He lined up five of us on the main road and then He also joined in. We ran to the gate and back. Swamiji ran like the wind. He was so fast but I was catching up. Suddenly my sandal broke and I had to drop out. From behind I watched Swamiji laughing and sailing in first. The children were cheering as He won the race. Everyone was laughing. I said to Swamiji that He broke my sandal strap through His powers. He agreed and with a huge smile He announced that all was God's will!
