SATSANG FOR KRISHNA JAYANTHI 23.8.2008 Krishna is a great avatar of the Kali Yuga. At various times in the Kali Yuga the Divine powers have come to earth as a human being. People had faith in the Krishna avatara and they realized His greatness. He explained beautifully the philosophy that is contained in the Mahabharata, and through this he made people understand the truth in this world of falsehood.
Today, on Krishna Jayanti, we should think about all this and chant His names. On each Krishna Jayanthi Lord Krishna comes before us to remove all our problems and free us, by doing all possible good for us. Let us all get together and chant His names with total concentration. It is a great thing that even today we can visit Krishna’s birthplace in India and the places where His greatness and miracles manifested. The Holy Scriptures say that if we go to Lord Krishna’s birthplace, Mathura and walk on that soil, our bad karmas will be removed. There had been many efforts to stop His birth, but still He was born, he taught and explained God’s greatness. Lord Krishna, playing the flute so sweetly, has the power to unite all energies into a great divine Shakti. His flute has the power to make all the Gods come stand in front of Him. God’s grace came to give divine blessings through that music. That God Itself, without telling that He is God, taught people of God’s greatness. Even many centuries later, the greatness and power of Lord Krishna reveal themselves to us and guide us whenever we call out to Him. Krishna, Mukunda...! You have to understand it and know it and then you will get the benefit of it.
