AUDIO "There are many ways to reach inside and find peace and truth. Singing is one of the easiest and most joyful methods of concentration of the Divine. Singing about the noble qualities of the Divine, which is known in Sanskrit as Bhajan, is a very simple yet most effective and enjoyable expression of devotion. Bhajan will pull the mind upwards in a spiritual direction." SWAMI PREMANANDA

Divine Mother Kali is the power of the purest and highest love. Mother of existence, glory to Her for She is the ruler of the universe. Divine Mother Kali gives us blissful joy and is the embodiment of the cosmic vibration. She is our divine and compassionate Mother. Sudha Sindoor Madyee Suravitha Pivaadi Parivruthe The few who adore You, O Divine Mother, are
truly fortunate (to download as mp3 click here with right mouse button and choose "Save Target as") This is verse number of 8 of the ancient poem called "Soundarya Lahari" (which literally means "Overwhelming with Divine Splendour"). This is a highly philosophical Sanskrit poem of great precision which adores the glory of the Divine Mother. The text was composed by Adi Shankara and contains 100 mantras which invoke Her blessings. Each mantra is said to have special powers and effects. This verse has a deep, symbolic meaning. It describes the rising of the spiritual kundalini force in the body. When this great force reaches the highest place at the crown of the head, it creates the bliss-consciousness beyond the body and mind which is very often described by Swamiji. Swamiji very strictly says that you should never try to force the kundalini power to rise in the body. This will happen and slowly under the guidance of a true guru.
