BOOKS Satsang books with spiritual discourses of Swami Premananda:
"After understanding yourself a little, resolve to make yourself happy, but not through the old material way. I mean real, independent happiness. I am talking about the joy of faith, pure love and fearlessness." (p. 105) Premananda Satsang Volume 2 "If you are thirsty I can give you water. If you are hungry I will give you something to eat. I am prepared to give the people what they want, but it takes some time to cook and give it to them. Be patient and wait to receive what you asked for. After cooking food you have to wait for it to cool down or it will burn your tongue. For this you need patience. Always, always exercise patience. Without patience you will not benefit from anything in life."
Premananda Satsang Volume 4 "Dear Divine Souls, don't lose a day, don't lose an hour or a minute fo this precious life. From this very special day, the last day of our Conference together this year, I bless you all to realise your higher nature and become absorbed in the truth, joy and peace that is Divinity. Why choose ignorance, despair and sorrow when it is just as easy to choose light, hope and faith?" (p. 59)
Premananda Satsang Volume 5 How to know whether I am on the correct path? Premananda Satsang Volume 6 "Realise that God is everywhere and God is love. God is in all beings that you see. By refusing to help others and searching for God - where are you searching? The devotee who loves all beings as him or herself without discrimination and sees all equally in that great love, is indeed worshipping God in the best possible way." (p. 91)
This booklet explains the puja procedures, mantras and songs accompanying the rituals performed in the Sri Premananda Centres. Swamiji says: "A statue of a deity is a symbol of the Divine that lies deep within you. It depends on your own attitude whether the statue is holy and meaningful to you or not. A piece of plain paper has no value to you but you will take great care of a dollar bill. Why? Because the paper has been printed with a dollar sign. Likewise, you may not see God in an ordinary stone, but if it is carved with a divine image it becomes meaningful and inspires devotion in you. After some time of deep devotion and worship you will also not see that stone or metal image. You will then experience God as all-pervading light and energy. That is why I encourage you to perform abishekam as a stepping-stone to higher sadhanas."
A beautiful book with more than 500 bhajans, all mantras and songs for the several abishekams, stories about the Gods and a glossary with all Sanskrit, Hindi and Tamil words used. A version with the chords for harmonium or guitar is also available.
