Bhavani

This is another meaningful name of the Divine Mother Parvati in Her form as the consort of the Lord of dissolution, Lord Shiva. The essential meaning of Bhavani is the purest existence. She is the great mother of all and the Goddess over all that has life in this world. Without Her there can be no existence, no life. She is the beginning, the middle and the goal of our existence. We are striving to attain the purest existence - the blissful life that the realized ones have called liberation. Bhavani is liberation. This world is full of diversity and our life journeys on this earth consist of repeated births, lives and deaths. Through the grace of Divine Mother Bhavani we can transcend the illusion of this world and attain liberation. The power to break through the illusion belongs to Her. Through meditating on Her she will shower Her Grace of pure knowledge and allow us to see through the illusion and perceive Her as the glory of pure existence.
