Janani

means "she who gives birth." Janani is the Mother of All, the Divine Mother. One who receives such a great spiritual name should do their best to live up to it, for one who is Mother of all beings must be patient, ever-loving, kind, wise and dutiful. Mother as Janani is constantly watching all her children, whether human or otherwise. She takes care of everyone and everything constantly, as very best she can. She is always busy looking after Her many children. She is the Universe in the constant action of pure love. She is mother to plants, insects and the lowliest of creatures but she is also mother to the highest deities - Brahma, Vishnu and Maheshwara - thus one who has the name of this Divine Mother also must also take special care of the spiritual aspect of life as a very important central role in the home and community.
