Rupini

Rupini is a name of the Mother of the Universe, whom we often refer to as the Divine Mother. She is the active energy of God, the consort of Lord Shiva. Together they are both the great source and living creation in all its glory. If you observe nature in its pristine, unspoilt condition then you may meditate on its breathtaking beauty and innumerable forms. Rupini embodies the world in all its grandeur and truth. Humankind wants to create more and more forms, thereby changing and distorting our natural life to an electronic and technological dream. We are forgetting the sheer, breathtaking beauty of all the lovely forms on this earth. Rupini means the form of Divine Beauty. We can see Her everywhere - in nature and in lovely and pure qualities in each other. Her spiritual beauty is there inside you too. If we observe Hindu pictures, the Divine Mother is shown as a Goddess of captivating looks, decorated in gorgeous clothes and jewellery. All these are merely symbols of Her spiritual loveliness - which are attainable by everyone through spiritual practices. Rupini means Mother of sacred and inner beauty - a quality that can be acquired by all through self-purification, discipline and sincerely following the guidance of your spiritual teacher.
